Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) May 01, 2012

PhotoBiz has launched two new website designs Bordeaux is a new Flash design, and Bourbon Street is a new HTML design for the Store and Blog Sites. Plus customers can now take full advantage of the Image Clipboard in the portfolio Flash and HTML websites, as well as Client Proofing.

Bordeaux is a refinement of one of our most popular templates, Marseille. It features a sophisticated carousel transition combined with a gradient background and sleek mirror at the bottom of each image. Up to five images are displayed on the home page, with the center image showcased as it swings into place.

Gallery pages in Bordeaux offer a very sleek layout. Arrows are displayed at all times to the left and right of images for easy navigation. There is also a pause and reload button, as well as an image counter. Combined with all of the amazing features and technology PhotoBiz provides with our website designs, Bordeaux is fully customizable to match any photographers unique branding and style.

Thank you to Richard Esposito for sharing his images for the sample of the Bordeaux template.

We are proud to provide such amazing new designs and look forward to developing more, said Lauren Marx, Chief Operating Officer.

The PhotoBiz team is also excited to release Bourbon Street, a new design for the Store and Blog Sites. The unified appearance in the Bourbon Street design includes a left-aligned menu, sharp square edges, along with a double border.

The Sign In and View Cart tabs are incorporated into the border motif, and for the first time there is a highlight color for borders on rollover. Plus, when the Marquee Plus page feature is used, there will be thick border displayed around each entry. Another first is a new title style that has an underline extending the width of the page. Like the other design choices that are available for the Store or Blog sites, Bourbon Street is very easy to navigate.

This sample Store Site features the images of Coleen Gousar and Misty Mioto provided the images for the sample Blog Site.

Finally the Image Clipboard has been enhanced to work on the Flash and HTML portfolio website and Client Proofing designs. With its initial release, the Clipboard was only available within the PhotoBiz Store. It was so well received that the utility was expanded to the additional products. This has a huge impact on customers overall image counts, in that an image can be uploaded once, and be used as many times as needed throughout our four amazing platforms.

The change saves me tons of time in my workflow! Thanks PhotoBiz! says customer Alan Flores of Flores Foto.

PhotoBiz Introduces Two Beautiful New Flash, Blog and Store Designs

Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) June 05, 2012

Rio is nick-named the Marvelous City and this is why PhotoBiz chose this vibrant, larger-than-life metropolis as the perfect name for our latest full screen Flash website design.

The impressive full screen display has generous space for a logo in the top left, right, or center. The navigation menu bar is at the bottom of the design. Plus, a full array of social media icons are in the upper left corner. When a navigation item with multiple options is clicked on, the menu bar expands up to reveal a translucent bar and the additional options expand below it, while the image can still be seen through the bar. This state-of-the-art lightbox appearance has been utilized throughout the design.

What makes Rio truly marvelous is the gallery page. PhotoBiz has added the largest thumbnail displays for any Flash design it created. The oversized thumbnails, coupled with the translucent navigation, create a beautiful presentation of portfolio images.

One look will be all it takes to convince you that Rio is one of the most vibrant, contemporary designs that PhotoBiz has ever offered. said Sara Martin, Product Research and Design.

PhotoBizs unique color shifting technology can be applied to menu items, arrows, and icons.

Special thanks to Loren Callahan of Alante Photography for sharing her images for the sample of the Rio design.

PhotoBiz is also happy to introduce a new design for the Blog and Store Sites. Oxford Street brings a soft and informal look, with its beautiful rounded corners. Plus, for the first time the tabs for signing in and viewing the cart are in the upper right.

Suzanne Schonzeit Feinberg of PowerVision360 Productions says I really like how the menu comes out from the left into the background.

The samples of this new template feature images by Tracy Allyn (Store Site sample) and Larry Perez (Blog Site sample). A special thanks to these amazing photographers for sharing their images!

PhotoBiz Releases Blog and Store Site Control Enhancements

Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) June 12, 2012

The PhotoBiz development team has truly revolutionized the control and level of customization for its Blog and Store Site banners and gallery pages.

The banners for Blog, Marquee (if banner layout is selected), and Marquee Plus pages have a completely new control interface that is very easy to use and understand. The new slideshows controls can allow images to be displayed in sequence or at random, select which controls appear on the slideshow, and customize the height of the banner (between 100 and 500 pixels). In addition, there is a new dropdown menu to select from five transition styles, as well as to set the speed or time (from one to ten seconds) that the image is still before the transition begins to further personalize the slideshow.

Our PhotoBiz development wizards have been hard at work and the results are too big to just call them enhancements, says Kyle Hovis, Quality Assurance Analist.

Another radical new feature where the PhotoBiz developers really raised the bar is the Image Focal Point. Previously the banner image was always centered to fit the width of the site. Now by selecting Customize and Edit, the Image Focal Point can be dragged to any point within the image resulting in instant resizing and cropping.

Another subtle enhancement that can make a big impact on a photographers presentation starts with the click of an icon in the lower right corner of the screen that will display all images in fullscreen mode.

PhotoBizs unique color shifting system has also now been added to the image control panel. After selecting the Color tab the eyedropper can be used to select any color within the image, and set it to display as the background when that particular photo is viewed in fullscreen.

In addition to these wonderful enrichments, the Store and Blog Site gallery pages now have two more layouts to choose from: Top Large Thumbs and Bottom Large Thumbs. These layouts allow for a better opportunity to style the gallery page to the overall appearance of the site.

Latest Post from iPhone Tips Blog, iPhoneSamurai.com, Announces a Company that Turns Peoples Ideas into iPhone Apps

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 29, 2012

iPhoneSamurai.com is one of the worlds most visited iPhone Tips blogs. Offering daily tips and advice to those addicted to their iPhones, information can be read directly from their blog, or via a daily digest email.

Today, Benny Meyer at iPhoneSamurai.com published his latest post, titled Company Turns Your Ideas into iPhone Apps.

iPhone fans can access the new blog post here:

In his latest post, Benny admits that these days, many people have ideas for potential iPhone Apps. However, most lack the knowledge of how to develop their idea and get it in the App Store.

Benny then introduces 52apps, a new company that plans to create 52 Apps a year that innovators can then use on their own iPhone. The company will be using a unique speed-coding method in order to develop Apps quickly.

How do they do it? Thibault and Lee dont create each app from scratch. The two developers have come up with a customized template that includes items common among most apps. This saves time, as they only have to make that code work with each new app idea, Benny says.

Inventors are paid a royalty from each download. In fact, since their launch in January, Apps created by 52apps have achieved a collective 500,000 downloads.

Those interested in seeing their creation come to fruition are urged to attend one of the companys frequently planned App Idea Days, hosted at USC-Columbia Technology Incubator in Columbia.

To conclude his latest blog post, Benny explains that inventors will lose some of the rights to their idea by sharing it. So, if the person has the ability to create the App themselves, 52apps isnt for them.

Theyll help you get your idea out there, but theyll have to stand to gain something from it. Otherwise, youll have to do it on your own, he says.

Where can iPhone fans learn more? iPhone fans can get iphone tips by subscribing to iPhone Samurai for free. Visit their daily tips website at iPhoneSamurai.com.

Ground-Breaking Blog, Veronicas Nap, Crosses Boundary Between Books and Social Media

Natick, MA (PRWEB) September 13, 2010

The once-sharp boundaries between books, online publishing and social media became fuzzier today when author Sharon Bially launched her debut novel, Veronicas Nap, on a WordPress-powered blog.

Bially will serialize the novel a few pages at a time at http://www.veronicas-nap.com while blogging on the same site in a format designed to spark book club-style conversation. This conversation will focus on the candid issues related to motherhood and marriage the book looks at and its eyebrow-raising characters. It will also address the inspiration behind the novel, the background to this unusual initiative, and much more.

Im fascinated by how social media has transformed the way stories from news to fiction reach and are endorsed by the public. For authors like myself who want above all to share their stories, blog technology offers cost-effective opportunities to publish, build an audience and hold ongoing conversations with readers. It offers all writers the potential to generate a revenue stream from their work. Increasingly, writers must also be entrepreneurs, Sharon Bially said.

In the novel Veronicas Nap, a young mother and aspiring artist living in the south of France gets stuck in the habit of procrastinating and indulging in naps while a nanny watches her two-year-old twins. Set amid rising anti-Semitic sentiment in France at the onset of the Iraq war and featuring a cast of boisterous, Sephardic characters, the book takes readers along for the journey as Veronica tries to break out of the dangerous yet seductive rut shes slipped into.

Im eager to share and discuss this story because its conflicts are extremely close to many young mothers hearts, Bially added.

About Sharon Bially

Sharon Bially worked as an international economic policy specialist for a decade before becoming a publicist and a writer. She received her bachelors degree from Tufts University and her masters from Columbia Universitys School of International & Public Affairs. Presently, shes vice president at the PR and marketing firm Farrell Kramer Communications and guest contributor to the award-winning blog, Writer Unboxed. A resident of the Boston area, she lived in France for twelve years.
